Board of Trustees
The North Lake County Public Library Board of Trustees is the library’s five-member governing body. According to Montana State law, the board has exclusive control of the expenditure of the public library funds, of construction or lease of library buildings, and of the operation and care of the library. Trustees serve without compensation for five-year terms and are allowed no more than two full terms in succession. The Board of Trustees meets monthly, with the exception of December, and meetings are open to the public. The date, time, location and agenda for each meeting are posted at the library. Occasionally, special meetings are called to address a specific issue. These, too, are announced at the library.
